Arrived 6th September, my wife and I had been invited to a wedding at Foxtail barns. So we arrived at mid day and were told "the room is ready" . So we put our cases in the room and had to leave straight away to go to the wedding. We arrived back at the hotel just before midnight, the room was very cold. In the morning shortly after waking up I needed the toilet - there was very little toilet paper, not really enough, as it was 7.00 am I tried to go to Reception to get some more, but the door through to that part of the hote... read more

Enjoyed our stay very much! The views are lovely and there are plenty of places to explore walking in the area. The rooms were clean, a good size and well presented. The bar had a nice selection of drinks available and they stayed open a little longer for us, despite it being a quiet night. Thank you! Breakfast was delicious, although the service was a tad slow. Maybe it was just a very busy time? A tiny thing in comparison to the good things about Whiston Hall Hotel.

Disgusting place. Leaking, cold and miserable. We arrived after a 3 hour drive hoping for a meal only to be told they aren't doing food because they're short staffed. Tried to go to the bar to see if we could at least get a drink only to find we were locked in our end of the corridor and couldn't access the hotel reception. 2 poor kids left to run the place and it seems they had gone home after we arrived so we were stuck locked in what felt like a prison cell. Not enough staff. There was one woman who was amazing then a man who was nearing on rude. The savoury food was great, the desserts were not. The golf course was fab.
