The Barn, a 6 bedroom cottage, has past it! It’s mouldy, smelly, has mouse droppings everywhere, and didn’t look like it had been cleaned in months. I don’t even think that Colin was expecting us! For some reason he thought it would be a good idea to give a sofa a really good wetting down at 15:50hrs when our check in was 15:00hrs. The beds were stained with urine and blood, hairs everywhere, mouse droppings and mould all over the place. Daisy Dell needs a thorough deep clean including the carpets, and some areas need to be repaired or replaced. It would be fairer to people considering booking a stay here to show current/accurate photos so they know what to expect, and to make it clear if some areas are not usable (the play appears to have been out of order since at least summer 2023, and during our stay the sauna was also out of order) If you're considering staying here, I would recommend reading reviews and looking at the photos guests have uploaded showin... read more
This farm complex offers an amazing experience. The location is perfect for North Devon, the beaches around and the towns of Barnstaple, Ifracombe and South Devon. I really enjoyed the quiet spot this has. Unfortunately there has been a significant number of fake reviews for financial gain. Heating, calls not being answered etc. It has largely upset guests prior to their arrival.
