Our engine:The Earl. Our carriage: Second class (Hungarian made). Beautiful machinery of the past kept alive by enthusiasts. Our carriage had large windows through which to view the beautiful countryside. The curved wooden slat seats with flat cushions provided comfortable seating. Helpful staff used a pedal operated lift to raise our mobility scooter. Dogs were allowed. Even got their own ticket! The most lovely place in the world! And it is staffed by the most lovely people.
Awesom to enjoy this steam train! We've booked the first class arrangement with picknick hamper on a sunny Sunday. Enough time to go back in history and the way it's managed with love by volunteers. Don't miss it when in the area! Good parking around.
