Go somewhere else We started at this practice when my son was born. From early on I was discouraged from breast feeding & was told that my son needed to be on formula only. I used my better judgement & continued to nurse. At his 3 mo appt I was told I needed to start him on solids. That was what caused me to leave the practice. They never listened to my concerns and always played the "we know best" card.
Expect to wait My first child was jaundice when she was born and our post-hospital care included weight checks 3 times per week for a couple weeks in addition to the new born well visits. I remained at this practice for 1 year. EVERY TIME we had an appointment (including the weight checks that literally took 5 minutes) we waited no less than 30 minutes in the waiting room and then at least another 15-20 in the exam room (even when having a 1st appointment of the day). THIS OFFICE IS AWESOME! this office is awesome .. always getting you in the same day for a sick appointment & helping you with formula for your new baby ! .. staff is always friendly too .. open late hours and very helpful in whatever you need .. love this place
RUDE & UNHELPFUL If i had there office staff i would be out of business. They are rude unhelpful dont want to hear or be bothered. I would rather take my 5 year old son to the hospital. I will find my son a other doctor if this is there customer service.
GREEDY If you go to them, don't ever move or change doctors because they charge $50 to forward the medical records to the new doctor. State law dictates that they could charge their cost and a "handling fee". In this age of computerized records, it seems like $50 is a bit high and tends to show how greedy and/or spiteful this practice is. I guess doctors don't make enough money these days.
WE CARE ABOUT US NOT OUR PATIENTS I WOULD NEVER REFER ANYONE TO TIS PRACTICE!! I HAD AN EMERGENCY WITH MY NEWBORN WITH WHAT WE TOUGHT TO BE A CHEST COULD AT 3 WEEKS OLD NOT ONLY WAS I DENIED AN APPT BU THE NURSE OVER THE PHONE TOLD ME TO GIVE HIM PEDIACARE WHICH I DID. FINALLY GOT INTO SEE DR BARBES WHO TURNS AROUND RED FACED AND SAYS YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE AN INFANT PEDICARE. DONTCHA THINK SHE SHOULD ADVISE HER NURSES OF THAT AS WELL. Terrible Office Staff! I had a terrible experience with the staff at this office. They are rude and have refused appointments to me for my sick son which forced me to take him to the ER to be treated. They lack intelligence in all forms of the word. I have been with this practice for almost two years and am now switching due to the complete incompetence of the staff.
Nice Office, Nice Staff This was my pediatrician for my 3 children (until we moved otherwise we would stil be there). Nice bright office. Group of doctors . . . but you can request to stick to one for scheduled appointments. Saturday hours for emergencies. I think 4 doctors so someone is always on call and will respond to your call even on weekends. In the Sheraton building across from Sesame Place. Plenty of parking.
Top Notch Doctors I have followed we care since my oldest was 2yrs old..he is now 17. I can honestly say that i have never had a bad experience with this practice! They have always accommadated me...and the drs have always been right on the money when it comes to diagnosing the problem...even when i thought they were wrong I was the one who wound up wrong.My kids mean the world to me and would only trust the best..Thanks Dr Barnes and Dr Klien-Chast!
