Terrible customer service and billing department. This hospital has not been in compliance with many state and federal laws. Several incidents of hippa violations and poor care for the mentally disabled.
RecommendedGeneral care is fine. Getting discharged is ridiculous. It takes forever. There’s got to be some way to streamline the process.

It’s dirty, triage in ED is terrible and it’s akin to entering a third world country when u go there! Just awful and disappointing
I suggest you have someone with you when you go. Fortunately I am an advocate for my significant other. Each time we go I have brought a list of current medications and the specific times of day he takes them. We have dealt with "hospitalists" who have tried to change these and also one hospitalist who did not prescribe the correct dosage resulting in a blood clot. Question everything!!! I ONLY use WATERBURY Hospital for my health care needs. I have been cared for in both the emergency dept and inpatient services. Each and every time I have been treated with courtesy and compassion. The staff has always been knowledgeable professional. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my healthcare needs.
I want to say Waterbury hospital gives great care, physically and emotionally to thier patients.
