Very good they were there to help me.an took the time to ask me was i alright.
Some of the staff is wonderful and some not so wonderful. Too long waiting for call button to be answered. They left my mom on a bed pan while she was taken to xray where the tech asked why she was still on it. Mom said she had pushed the button over an hour ago and no one came. A nurse was caring for the patient in the next bed when my mom's leg went into a horrible spasm. She was screaming in pain. He looked at her, turned away and helped his patient. My Experience at Waterbury hospital was very scary I had surgery Friday May 26 Sat morning the doctor came in at 6:30 am to tell me they were gonna remove the pain pump some time that afternoon well they removed it at 7am. My ER time was horrible. I waited 2 hours for pain medwith a broken patella. Had to void my husband had to go out and get someone. Gave me a bedpan too small and it went everywhere. Had to move side to side in pain to be changed. Had my X-ray without pain meds. Was horrible. I am a RN and would not leave a pt waiting to get pain for 2 hours. At least I called the nursing supervisor and only than did I get some medication and called a orthopedic doctor to take care of my issues.
