Saying they are scum is an insult to scum. A strong chemical odor from a leaking dryer vent in the apartment I rented from Watassa caused severe health issues that forced me to vacate against my will. I had sent multiple emails and work orders on Appfolio (Their complaint platform) to Watassa to address this issue. I put in an application 2 weeks ago and still haven't either gotten a lease to sign or word that the place has been taken. I have repeated called and emailed them, I even got assurance they would send me the lease. yet I got nothing

I lived in a Watassa-managed building for over 3 years, and was pleased with Watassa. Francis is very responsive and pleasant to deal with. The building itself had some issues, but I always felt like Francis (and others) were working diligently to address my concerns. Plus, the price was right.

Watassa Management was a great landlord for the entire time I rented from them. They were incredibly responsive to emails. While my maintenance problems were minimal, they were addressed in a timely manner. Watassa was incredibly professional. I highly recommend renting from them.

I lived in a Watassa Managed apartment off of U Street for about 2 years, and never had any issues. Francis is quick with responses and any issues are always fixed right away. He keeps tenants very well informed as well. Overall, its a great apartment to live in.

Watassa is a great property management company! We lived in a Watassa-managed apartment for 1.5 years in Bloomingdale and had a great experience. Francis was always quick to respond to any issue and help with anything we needed in the apartment. He is very professional and a pleasure to work with as a landlord. They kept the apartment in good shape and clearly communicated with us. We had a great experience and would highly recommend Watassa as a property manager.

Solid, responsive property management – My wife and I were tenants of a Watassa-managed property for nearly four years in Capitol Hill. We cannot sing their praises enough, especially Francis. Francis from Watassa Management was easily the most responsive and professional landlord I've had in my 10+ years living in DC. During my 2+ years living as a tenant of Watassa, the property was always kept clean and repaired. And on top of all that, it was wonderful interacting with the friendly, down-to-earth people from this property management company. Anybody deciding to live with Watassa as their property manager is in good hands. ~Jared D.
