My wife was worried about reduced movements so we rang up in the morning and got an appointment just a few hours later, despite not living in the area (we live in Liverpool). They gave her a quick scan and confirmed no issues. Amazing service, friendly staff.
Not a good experience. My first appointment i had been booked in on a week when the midwife at my practice was on holiday. My second appointment ill admit was rebooked because i was unnable to attend due to travel reasons however after calling to rebook and being given another date i showed up early, waited half an hour before calling to discover they failed to book my appointment in. Just not good enough.
Given my experience over a few emails, I wouldn't want to deal with these people face to face.
What an amazing place, a treasure to have. I'm from Croydon and we don't have places like this. All the staff are helpful and welcoming, they deliver a fantastic service,I've only had two appointments and sadly will be moving to another birthing unit. My midwife here was Becky and I couldn't feel any happier about the care/advice and time she has given me, this was truly your calling in life and I wish you all the best in your new position. I didn’t give birth at the Wallingford Maternity birthing centre. I have been there for post natal appointments and nothing to complain about. However, I was followed at my GP Practice by one of the midwives from here and asked her to discuss birth options since I was 36 weeks because I had some doubts about induction,’when to ask for artificial ocitocine etc - of course you have this info available online but I wanted to discuss in practice how Things would be and what my options were.
