Virginia Mason is not "In-network" for my new health insurance plan for primary care. Even though I was willing to pay cash, they refused to see me or take an appointment. Cash! Not good enough for Virginia Mason.

My review is for Dr Mark Hill heart surgeon. Dr Hill repaired my mitral valve 2 months ago. I had an echo ultrasound and my Group Health Cardiologist Dr Mak yesterday. Dr Mak reviewed it with me. He said my mitral valve has been "beautifully repaired" which is what he would expect from Dr Hill. He repeated it twice and said my heart valve looks normal with virtually no leakage. He also said my heart now looked like a normal heart and my enlarged Atrium was back to normal. Before the surgery I was in AFIB all night at the ER.... read more

Thank you so much for the wonderful care last week the staff on the 12th floor gave me and Dr. Bayles' surgery team! I liked them all so much I stayed the whole week! They didn't even seem to grow tired of me. Top notch!!

Thanks to Lorie Garretson, I had to wait a couple months to get in to see her, was coming from the Southend, had to take the whole day off work. I left in plenty of time but hit horrible traffic. I ended up 30 min late. I called to let them know I was running late. Lorie agreed to see me rather than making me reschedule. Thank you, I would have had to take another day off work which is not easy. I was near tears this morning sitting in traffic so I really appreciated her understanding and kindness.
