Today was fantastic, just like yesterday. The wait times were quick. Barely had time to warm the seat cushions before being seen. Of course, I am sure there will be more folks in after the holidays.
After having a seizure, and dislocating my shoulder followed by 2 more dislocations within a week, the VA was quick to get me into my PCP, get xrays, and get the ball rolling on Ortho, and Nero consults.................Still haven't heard from Neuro, but ortho said they can see me in March.........MARCH!!!!!! I CAN'T USE MY ARM!
Only took a month get my hearing aids. General surgery only took 2 weeks. I am pleased about my care and the professionalism of my care takers.
I normally love this va and never have had an issue until yesterday. I went for routine blood draw to have INR checked. Because i live 200 miles away i went a day before the lab date. The fucking moron in travel refused to pay me my full travel because i did my lab early!he payed for one way! I am so fucking pissed I. I have made hundreds of these blood draws earlier than schedule and always recieved full benefit! And now i wont have enough money to get back home and will have to ask a family member for help.
Why did the VA take away my primary care doctor? It was not by my request! Nobody notified me! Nothing official, it just happened... first, co-occurring took care of it, but only once! And then that PA quit, leaving me in lost! Now I have seen Dr. Todd twice as my PCP, but he doesn't want to see me. After my first visit, he said he would never see me again! I have been going to the VA in Albuquerque for a long time. The care is great. Only issue is finding a Dr. Most come and go quickly. Parking could be better.
