RecommendedWe had a scare with our dog Bella on a snowy Sunday night and had to find a 24hr hospital. We ended up at VCA in Newark and were so happy we did! Every staff member we dealt with throughout the 48 hours Bella was there was wonderful, caring and helpful. I would call to check on her and the staff would happily give an update on her and made it known that we could call whenever we wanted for updates. Took my 14 year old boxer as an emergency for an ultrasound and breathing issues. Talked to them on the way there so they FULLY understood why I was bringing her. They took her in and the vet immediately sedated her without talking to me first, and then proceeded to tell me they couldn’t treat her because they didn’t have the right equipment. Charged $600 to see my dog who couldn’t walk. No blood test no X-ray that would have cost thousands more. When I was able to get a vet appointment $200 we found out he had 2 different tick diseases even though he got regular high quality flea and tick meds. He also has low thyroid and arthritis. VCA is only about the $$$$$
