I want to thank everyone at the hospital for taking such wonderful care of my Dreamer. I was extremely worried because he had to have surgery. They kept in constant contact with me the entire time and showed such compassion for my little guy. They didn't want to keep him any longer than necessary which my wallet was very appreciative! Again, a very big thank you to everyone there!!!
This past Monday, I came home to my cat, Moose, and he had passed away. He was just over 16 and finally lost his battle with kidney failure. It was late at night, and my regular vet was closed. The VCA is their emergency contact. I called and the woman who answered was so compassionate was told I could bring him right in. When I got there, I was met promptly at the door and treated like I had been going there forever, and this was my first visit. I believe the gentleman's name was Andy, and he was so sweet and sympathetic. H... read more
Amazing Staff and doctors! They saved my dog Luca after he ate rib bones. They are truly compassionate about what they do and honestly love the pets. Thank you so much for everything.
A lot of people have complained about my choice in vet because they're a little pricier. Well let me tell you...every penny of that extra dollar is WORTH IT. They're conveniently located, they're available 24/7, they put up with you when you call with questions, or to check on your pet. They're wonderful people who are GOOD to my dog and also to me - most animal health professionals seem to lack people skills but VCA has them. I'd trust Dr. Remsburg with my own life. They deserve 6 stars.
I had previously only used them when I found a hit dog and my vet wouldn't see him since he wasn't mine & they weren't taking new patients. Yesterday (Sunday) I needed them for my own dog who was not doing well after suspected vestibular disease. It turned out to be the brain tumor type and hard decisions needed to be made. They were professional, knowledgeable, caring, supportive, compassionate...just what was needed on an awful day! Thank you so much for doing what you do so well and being there 24x7!
We had to put our dog Oakley down Sunday night. It was the hardest thing we have had to do. The staff was very supportive and made sure we had plenty of time with Oakley before saying good bye. Aaron was very supportive through both oakleys surgery and her passing. Thank you guys.
I can't express the compassion that our family received when we had to put our beloved dog Midnight of 12 years to sleep. Dr. Sharkey helped us make the decision easier. I can not thank Karen Anderson enough for her kind words to my children. Karen made sure we had enough time with Midnight before and after. Never did we feel rushed out or unwelcome. Now , I won't go anywhere else for my puggle.
The staff of VCA on Marrows Rd in Newark are super caring folks. We received a sympathy card with 3 personal hand written notes from the vet who cared for our JRT Dexter + 2 techs. They were very sensitive of our broken hearts, & we are most appreciative.
My family and I can't thank the vets, vet techs and staff enough for all you did for our Abbey and for us. Getting to our primary vet wasn't an option on a Sunday and the staff made us feel like family. We couldn't have asked for anything more during such a difficult time. Thank you.
