Our dog had ITP (sudden and unexplained dangerous drop in platelet count) and a large hematoma (invasion of blood into skin tissue) on a Thursday evening and was likely not going to make it past the following Saturday. Very caring and compassionate staff. Listened to all concerns and followed up the next day with a phone call. We will be transferring care of all our animals from now on.
My kitty, Stinker, was vomiting and dry heaving for a few days. We rushed him to VCA where they did xrays, blood tests, and gave him fluids/nausea meds. We received a call the next morning that he had cancer. We saw the oncologist the next day where she said his xray showed diffuse nodular lung pattern that may be due to cancer or possibly severe inflammation granulomas. He was sent home with an anti parasitic drug and steroids. She wants to recheck his xray in 2-3 weeks. This has been very difficult for us all to take in. H... read more
My Border Collie had been throwing up for 3/4 days, my vet is out of town. These people were awesome, did xrays and blood tests and found that she is just fine, but having a food allergy, again..and maybe suffering from grief because my husband died this month and we have her since she was a puppy together. She has always had both of us so the vet thought that might be part of the problem. She gave her something for nausea and she has been just fine today.
We have 4 dogs and they are ALL treated here, I wouldn't take my beloveds any other place, Dr Kathy Hickey and the whole staff are truly amazing,( especially since my little guy a 238+ mastiff , Emmitt doesn't especially like the vet). I recommend VCA silverdale all the time to anyone who has a pet, top notch care 110% of the time!!!
