We are a fourth generation family business. Valpo Velvet was started in 1947 and we still use the formulas that Herb and Gordon Brown perfected with the help of their degrees of Dairy Engineering from The University of Wisconsin. We still make all ice cream fresh weekly from scratch on the premises.

I just wanted to acknowledge and say a huge THANK YOU to Cathy Brown and Valpo Velvet for the most amazing ice cream sundae bar at Sean and Katy's wedding April 2. It was hands down the best dessert ever at any wedding I've ever been to! From the best ice cream in the region to the delicious home made sauce and toppings it was delicious! I would recommend this to anyone planning a grad party, shower it wedding! Yummy and so much fun!! Thanks again Valpo Velvet!

They rarely have Aztec hot chocolate ice cream. How could you make something a lot of people like and not have it?

We make about 75 Flavors and we just don't have enough room to keep all of them in rotation. We had to make room for Cinnamon, Pumpkin, and Egg Nog. I'm so sorry. We will put it on our list the next time my husband makes his chocolate mix. Probably in a month or so. Thanks for the review!
