We are a fourth generation family business. Valpo Velvet was started in 1947 and we still use the formulas that Herb and Gordon Brown perfected with the help of their degrees of Dairy Engineering from The University of Wisconsin. We still make all ice cream fresh weekly from scratch on the premises.

The flavor of the chocolate almond and peanut butter cup was HORRIBLE. Like freezer burned or it absorbed other odors.

2/3 of our ice creams were great. Customer service was not so great. My son had two big hairs in his bubble gum ice cream and I was told "I'm really sorry." Oh, okay. We won't be back.
