Barry, Randi and Jennifer at Valhalla Funeral Home, 5317 Bessemer Super Highway, Midfield, Alabama 35228, 205-425-9898, are all super amazing and very caring. When our eldest brother Chester passed away, Barry, Randi and Jennifer made sure that his family and friends were all treated with respect and caring during our time of loss. Also, Jennifer is amazingly knowledgeable about her profession, and just one five minute conversation with Jennifer over the phone and I knew we had called the right place. Still no footstone ,my father was buried in August and still have not received it went to decorate for Christmas and no foot Stone I approved the second design in October because the first one had date of death is 2007 when it should have been 17 shouldn't 2 months be enough time now going on four months I will never deal with stonemor again this company is no good

First of all, to be one of the hardest things for my mother to endure, the service provided by the staff was second to none. Jennifer helped my mother plan my Pop's service to honor his passing as he lived life. We left the funeral feeling completely at ease for all the special detail and attention payed to him to not just make it another generic service. I recently attended a funeral of a man who passed away. I am not one to normally complain, but I just could not let this go! The funeral was paid in full and was extremely high...the family was rushed to the point that all decent respect to the family was ignored. The wife had to go to the restroom...she was told no time and rushed to her car while she was talking to friends...the graveside service was rushed, and the family was asked to leave the site...I guess the part that bothered me the most was the fact that they start... read more

The way the family was rushed out wasn't very professional. I felt bad for the family. I know that's just your job. But it's other peoples love ones. He must have been the last person for the day. Because that's how it looked to me.
