Communication – Vain was a lot of fun and so was my stylist. Multi process coloring can be pricey. Please inform your clients that their hair process is going to cost over $150. Let them know the cost before they agree to the process. Never having had highlights I had no clue how expensive they would be. The color faded after two weeks as well. NOT worth the time or cost.

Don't ever rely on your appointment – So here is my story and it's not a pretty one. I made an appointment almost 2 months ahead of time as I was going to Europe for a wedding and wanted to make sure my hair looked great the day before. I was excited! Counting the days..... Sharon is the Best Stylist Ever! – For years I was lost. Moving from one hair salon to the next, always in search of that do that would make me feel complete. Then I decided to try Vain. I loved it. Yet still something felt not quite right. Then I had my hair cut by one-Sharon. A beautiful English woman with great style herself. I've never had a better hair cut, and finally I was at peace with myself. For over a year now we've had a great relationship, Sharon, my hair and I and hopefully we'll continue to for many more.

No but seriously.. if you are even thinking of changing your look in any way.. make sure to stop by Vain... you'll be happy you did... There is a creative staff there ready to give hott looks that will get you lots o' luvin......

vain rocks – I found VAIN on citysearch. from the moment arrived at the salon, I felt as though this was the place for me. melissa at the front desk hooked me up w/kathleen, who was very nice. my haircut was great. kudos.

Vain is AMAZING – I have been a high maintance girl since I was 15 years old. I have hopped around from salon to salon ever since. Vain is definately the place I will send every one of my friends! I had the best customer service both on the phone and in the salon from Melissa. She was very cheerful and accomidating in booking my appointment, even with my crazy scheduling needs. Sharon Blythe-Moss is great for color and awesome for cuts, but since she is an artist she always has creative ideas for my hair and I feel like I always have the most original hair in town. Plus, if you want a more conservative look she can make you look and feel good with out the attitude you can get in a few [unmentionable] salons in town. Ask for Sharon!

Not so creative – I went to a couple different stylists at Vain and wasn't happy with the results. They seemed sometimes overwhelmed and not as creative as other stylists I've seen in the past. I would suggest keep looking.

Finally – Well my quest is over for looking for a stylist who knows how to color and cut hair. Since moving from CA two years ago I have had awful luck in Seattle for finding someone who could make my dark brown hair blonde and give me a good cut.
