I came in at 430Am ..was lucky it wasn't to busy. Gave me a room, X rays , diagnosed, meds. Brought to me ....in car on way home by 630Am.. best experience I ever had there.. they are getting better. Been going for 19 years. Way better then it use to be.
The parking is horrendous. Even with the new garage, nothing has changed. Also, they need to have more procedures available in Oceanside to alleviate the necessity to drive to LaJolla.
took over three hours to see a dr. so much for an emergency. i think I'm going to write a book on how the v.a. treats vets. my husband is a vet and my father was a vet. It's time American knows that our soldiers are used and discarded when it comes to the aftermath of war. The next time it's an emergency one would be better off with a veterinarian: they have more of a care for even the smallest creatures. I grew up seeing my father go through this and now my husband. This is the reason I'm pursuing law...
I was dreading going all the way to La Jolla-as a Veteran- to receive treatment. I went to Mission Valley first and receive great treatment but I have been in the Las Vegas VA health care system, where I have lived the past 3 years, and I am not in the San Diego VA system. Wait, What? I know it seems crazy. However when I reached the ER at La Jolla, I was seen within 5 minutes, saw a doctor 5 minutes into the nurses assessment.
