Great service facility, excellent medical care & the Patriots Cafe' has great food.
Ridiculous. Nothing goes well at La Jolla. I find I'm avoiding this place. And all SD healthcare facilities.

the la jolla hospital has done well for me, i have had issues over the past year requiring surgery, there is a high turnover rate of doctors though, so don;t be surprised if the post surgery follow up appointment is a differant doctor than the one who operated on you, some doctors are better than others about calling their patiants, the specialists are very good at the VA, ucsd medical center doctors, however the primary care i chose at mission valley is horrible, you have to learn how the system works, it is good, better th... read more
PLEASE be careful when going to this facility! The care is horrendous and they patients are misdiagnosed continuously! They are literally killing my father as we speak from a post op infection. I have been in the medical field for 18 years and I have never experienced anything so horrific!
Didn't have a chance to score the visit...who closes a business at 1600?
As always, my trip to the VA has been awful. Truly, a horrendous place to have to go. I've been waiting in the ER for 2.5 hours so far. At the 2 hour mark I asked one of the receptionists about how long it would take. I got told "You've Only waited 2 hours so far. There is no reason to be impatient." Wow. If there is any way you can see anyone else, or go anywhere else but the VA, DO SO!!!
