I was hopeful this ER would be better than PHX because San Diego is a military town. The location is the same. A 4 hour wait is ridiculous.
Parking under constuction but Cat Scan was quick in and out staff very helpful very happy with my care!
Stayed on the line for 33 minutes to make an appointment for my dad to see a GP, for them to tell me that there was nothing available a MONTH away. Took my information down to have a supervisor call me in 24-48 hours. We shall see.
So far I been in San Diego VA Healthcare System La Jolla without any problem except one time in prosthetic getting supplies i forget the guys name so I tried no not to deal with that guy anymore, so I just called Patty and she was very helpful in assisting every veterans.
We appreciate the care both my husband and I receive at the VA. All healthcare systems have their glitches, but for the last 10 years the SAN DIEGO VA MEDICAL CENTER has come through for us. Anywhere you get care you need to be an advocate for yourself and your loved ones. I don't blame the VAMC for those kinds of things. The staff care and do their job with pride. Yes, SOME staff may be in a bad mood etc, but we all have those kinds of days. I recommend VAMC.
