RecommendedI'm a veteran and I do volunteer work there and I work with a great bunch of nurses and doctors. They do everything that they can to help veterans.
Having to deal with the employees is too stressful. You may find 1 out of 10 interactions to be pleasant, but mostly it’s not. They treat us veterans like we are their enemy.
The young lady working in Travel Pay this morning at 7:45 needs some counseling on how to interact with Veterans. Her eye movements, body gestures and slamming drawers is very unprofessional. All I did was ask if she was open for business and she went all to pieces. She could have told me in a nice way to come back at 8am but instead she gave me wrong date and no initials on my time stamp and I left in a very pissed off mood.
*UPDATE* I actually had someone reach out to not only myself but my husband as well. They listened to everything we had to say and we were able to get the situations he was facing fixed. Thank you for helping my husband get his voice heard and getting him away from a horrible situation. I have never seen so many miserable doctors and nurses in my life! Our Veterans are being treated like garbage. If a complaint is filed, nothing is ever done about it! Yet, you have hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend on redecorating! G... read more
A big thank you to Tony in prosthetics. We had an emergency with my husband’s mobility scooter and he was so very helpful. We can’t thank you enough. We appreciate all your hard work and efforts.
My husband has been in this Facility for 8 days and I cannot say enough about the EXCELLENT Care that he has received! The Staff have been amazing and work attentively with SMILES on their Faces! The Facility is Clean even while undergoing some updates and having the most up to date Equipment installed! I would recommend this Facility quicker than any Facility than any he has been in recently in Alamance or Guilford County
I do recommend the DVAMC, they strive to provide the best possible services a.d treatment for its Veterans. They constantly look for ares of improvement and.the implement the positive changes. Please that there are very many more handicap parking spaces in the Durham VA main parking lot. This is greatly appreciated by all Veterans. Thank you for hard work Durham stand out amongst the VA hospitals as one of the best
