Nothing but good at the syracuse VA, the people and staff are all awesome,and so is their facilities,
So leave it to the VA to treat you like a fucking criminal when you get admitted for having a mental break with suicidal thoughts. Took my clothes n gave me a prison jumpsuit, took all my stuff and LOCKED ME in a room with windows and nothing to do anything. Wouldn't even let my wife in to talk to me or see me. Pretty much punishment for something I had no control over. Broke me down even more and made me feel like such a lowlife. I have nothing but good to say about the Syracuse V.A. Medical Center! My Dad, a WWII Navy Veteran- who passed away last January- went there from BEFORE the current hospital was even built- - He described where he went as 2 rooms in the Chimes Building! Both my Dad and my husband, a Vietnam Veteran, have only gotten the best of care from the Syracuse V.A.- Doctors, nurses, technicians, EVERYONE including the maintenance staff - who are eager to serve the Veterans and their families in any capacity - stating that they find it... read more
I am my fathers care giver and take him to the the va quite often...eveytime we have gone I have been very pleased with both Drs and ppl at the desks... Great bedside manors...ty
