I have rarely had a problem with SYRACUSE VA. I think the big thing is communication. Psych care, physical therapy, and more. I was even able to do cognitive therapy before and after being diagnosed with a brain malformation, I received surgery and proper care. Don't act like a sheep and don't put up with being treated like sheep. We deserve and earned the right to be taken care of. I ruined my body and mind for my nation. We signed the line... If I could give no stars I would, nothing but a nightmare since my husband's surgery in December. We are still fighting a loosing battle because no one cares there. From orthopedics to x-rays to physical therapy. Patients aren't their first priority!!!

I am a Vietnam Veteran who has been going to the VA in Syacuse for 5 years. I have always received the best care, with great follow- through, and can only rave about the great staff. I had major surgery in July 2015, and can't thank the staff enough for saving my life. Great Staff and Great Hospital!!!

I have had nothing but trouble getting a referral sent to upstate ortho. The VA closes their ortho dept and is sending patience to upstate orthopedics. It has been over 3 weeks since my grandfather has been seen for a serious fracture to his leg and we still don't have a referral to see another doctor. I am highly dissatisfied with how the VA medical center is handling this situation.

I used the VA in Syracuse for many years and I say, I used for everything. It's one of best hospital in the country. I moved to Cincinnati, Ohio 9yrs ago and the VA is the same as Syracuse. Congratulations to our VA Hospital.

No sense of urgency anywhere in the VA, especially the ER. Over 2 hour wait time is way past acceptable. Some Veterans have already walked out.

I work during the week and it's very hard to make appointments on weekends so I usually have to go early mornings in my work truck. They're very accommodating and slow me to park in the oversized lot. The physicians are attentive and very knowledgeable. Best part was, the person who took my blood was one of the 1st to do it and not have to fish for the vein. I'm very pleased

I don't even know where to start. I moved here in spring of 2014 from Minneapolis where I received top notch care through the VA. Since coming here I have received sub par care on almost every level to include but not limited to: -My PCM telling me that I should "go pay for what I need [medical care] out of [my] pocket." -Same doctor telling me that I need to quit my job but not documenting that for the compensation board. -Being told "there's something wrong with your nerv...Continue Reading
