My dad is world war 11 vet (army aircore). I am so impressed with the seamless process from entry by ambulance to his care in the hospital. The nurses have been wonderful, professional, and caring. My dad feels very well taken care of. The doctors have been very supportive in their recommendations. The atmosphere is very positive. I've never had any problems. Best place for Vets evening amongst the problems esle where.
The VA is catching a lot of flack and maybe they should. But I am a veteran and I get some of my medical care from the VA Hospital in Syracuse NY. I had an issue recently (not serious) where I needed some medical attention. I called for an appointment. They literally scheduled my appointment for as soon as I could drive there (about 30 minutes). The VA person that I dealt with stayed well past closing hours to make sure that my needs were met as best as possible. I am not trying to generalize or diminish any of the problems ... read more
I know there is a lot in the news about the different VA hospitals around the country.I just want to say that I have been coming to the Syracuse VA for about the last 10 years and I couldn't ask for better care.They are not my primary but I get a lot of my spinal cord injury care here.The SCI team and Team Blue are excellent.I have also been volunteering here for the last three years and I see employees that really care about the veterans and their familes.
The best VA on the EAST COAST! !!
