RecommendedMy son was brought here where we received the diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes and that he is in diabetic ketoacidosis. The nurses, drs, residents and staff are absolutely amazing!! My son received the best care around the clock! The Ronald McDonald House provided everything I needed to be able to stay near my son. Volunteers who provided food and time on the PICU unit Thanksgiving morning were amazing. This hospital saved two of my kids in very different situations. One child had a spinal fusion surgery and the other took a helicopter ride to ICU and was on a ventilator overnight. I cannot say enough about the doctors, nurses and countless other therapists there. Simply put, they are amazing. Kind, professional and genuinely supportive in difficult times. They care for the entire family not just the patient and it means the world when your family is in crisis
My daughter just had spinal surgery to have a tumor removed. The doctors, nurse, house keepers everyone was amazing. I want to say thank you to everyone of you, Neriosurgry Clinic, PICU, floor 9. you are all beautiful people inside and out and my Donna and I will always hold you close to our hearts.
My daughter was recently a patient here.. Everyone from the time we entered the hospital to the time we left were absolutley amazing. We are so thankful to the drs and nurses. Thank you will never be enough how appreciative we are�
Our 2.5yr old son was airlifted from Finley Dubuque with acute respiratory distress and when we left Finley we had no idea the cause yet. He arrived at Iowa City just 10minutes before us and when we got to his room we were met with a team of doctors with a plan in place. In such a terrifying time, I felt then he was in the right place and they would get him better and they did! He was diagnosed with right collapsed lung due to foreign object. We see Dr. Scott Lieberman. When I needed 4 of my children seen by him he took a full day to see all 4 at once since we live over 4hrs away. Dr Lieberman is VERY thorough and takes his time. I have nothing negative to say about him. I have been a medical mommy for 8.5 yrs and have seen countless doctors for my littles , Dr. Scott Lieberman is in the top 1% !! Thank you IA City for hiring such an AMAZING Dr !!!
My son had a renal biopsy today and all the nurses and doctors were amazing. Missy thank you so much for being you, you lightened the nerves a bit for both of us. The rooms are amazing as we had to stay for observation after the biopsy. I would definitely recommend University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
My son currently sees a doctor in your speciality clinic. His doctor is just great with how he interacts with him and the appointments don't feel rushed.
