They are amazing, and the stuff child life dose for the kids is above and beyond...
I can't say enough about the wonderful care we received when our son was born prematurly. We are so fortunate to have such exceptional care right here in Iowa!!
Waaaay huge & confusing every time but soo glad it's here
Our children were born at the U of I Children's Hospital and our son has had ongoing treatments there for the last 6 1/2 years. Every time we are there we walk the Skywalk overseeing the construction for the new children's hospital and it's amazing to see the wonder in my son's eyes. He once said "See mom? That's the new hospital for kids like me!". He can't wait to tour it. And he kind of hopes Herky is there ;-) Edit: We toured, herky was there. I have been bringing my daughter most of her 14 years. Dr. Tansey and all the staff are far above and beyond my highest expectations, I could not be more pleased.
I was fortunate to attend kid captain day on the 15th. It was a wonderful experience.I enjoyed being a part of this wonderful experience for all the kid captains and their guests! Thank-you all at the university of Iowa children's Hospital and the Hawkeyes and of course Reagen Kopsieker for inviting grandma!!
Huge Thank-you going out to all the staff in Labor &Delivery, Mother/ Baby, and the NICU for everything you do. We chose the U because even though my wife had a normal, healthy pregnancy, we knew this was where we wanted to be if anything should go wrong. So glad we did! All the midwives and L&D nurses and staff doctors were kind, patient, and above all, on top of their game - which allowed us to avoid the C-section that would've been inevitable anywhere else in Iowa.
