Had a problem with door opener. Left a message for Tom, he told me what to look for and I was able to correct the problem. Most companies would have come to the house and charged for a service call on a 5 minute fix. Have used Universal for broken springs, bad guide rollers, and replacement of door opener. Excellent work, and really fair price. Thanks again Tom.

Called Tom at Universal and left a message about a garage door opener problem. He got back to me and, instead of coming to my house and charging me for a service call, he told me what to check and adjust. Bingo! Found the issue and the door is working just fine. This is the third time I have called on Universal. Broken Spring and Replaced one of my openers. Did a thorough job of replacing some guide wheels. Always a fair price for the great work he does.

Tom was absolutely amazing and a true gem to work with. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was punctual, communicative and fair. He went above and beyond to make sure that my door worked better than ever, and even followed up a week later to make sure it was still working. It is not everyday that you come across someone like Tom. He was a breath of fresh air and I highly recommend him!!

Tom went above and beyond what he charged us for. He really looks out for his customers by providing better quality parts and his willingness to fix little things for no extra cost. He really cares about safety and long-lasting workmanship.

I have been searching for almost 2 years for someone to fix my garage door and install an opener. Other companies said it was too small of a job or told me I’d have to buy a whole new door from them. Tom was quick & out here the next business day! He communicates very well and was so reasonably priced! I will definitely recommend him to anyone!

I have never felt the need to write a review more than I do today for this company and the owner Tom. I have had two issues with my garage door and Tom has come to the rescue both times. He repaired my actual garage door at a fraction of what other companies were telling me I would have to pay. He recently installed a new opener and his rates were extremely fair and affordable. Tom was good to work with. He has been fixing garage doors for many years and it shows. He knew exactly what problem was after I described what happened on the phone (broken torsion spring). The repair was quick ( about an hour ) and turned out great. Good response time...good price...good result

Described issues I was having with my garage door & that it had few cracks & bent at the top & questioned if I needed a new door. Tom stated I could buy a new door but he probably could fix the door at a minimal cost. He stated he knew what it would take to correct the issue before he even came out to inspect & he was correct. Very happy with the service & cost. Would highly recommend!
