Warm toasty evening at Ye Old Union Oyster House with excellent service by John. Scrumptious New England clam chowda, oysters on the half shell, mussels in a delicate wine garlic shallot juice, garlic toast and sweet fried clams shared by three of us. This is our first stop every time we are in Boston. Don’t forget Sam Adams Colonial Draft exclusively offered at Union Oyster House. The service, atmosphere and food provided for a perfect night.
Absolutely amazing. Best clam chowder I've ever eaten
Some “institutions “ loose their drive and ride on their laurels, like “oldest restaurant in the United States” but that is not the case here. Great atmosphere, great service and excellent fare. I’ve eaten here, on and off, since 1982 and it never fails to satisfy. Their clam chowda is even pretty good, but still not as fantastic as the Oysrer Bar in Grand Central, guess I’m just a New Yorker at heart ! Don’t miss this place.
A great visit included a delicious bowl of chowder and plate of oysters. Can’t visit Boston without a trip to the Union Oyster House.

The clam chowder was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxing, the people that worked there and customers were super nice and helpful!
