You go for the atmosphere. The service was friendly, and the food is good. But don't expect the wow factor. Portions are small and way overpriced.

What a good time we had at the Oyster House the first continually open Resturaunt since the mid 1800’s that is beyond impressive
The restaurant is a must go when in Boston. The service was excellent and the food was delightful. Delicious chowder, fresh baked cornbread and gingerbread and the boiled lobster perfect!
I love this old tavern! Great location and some of the best clam chowda I've had. The staff is entertaining. �
Great food and service from the bar and restaurant! Everyone was very friendly and we loved the food and the drinks. We had an enjoyable evening. All the servers went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. First time in Boston, will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. Neat place - nostalgic. Service was great and the food was wonderful. We had lobster and clam chowder.
Could it get any better? Fresh oysters, fresh clams, best Boston Clam Chowder, historical Foundation Trail and great service with a great smile.
