Even though I'm from Mass this was my first time here. Great fresh swordfish & not expensive; love the history & Stephanie was great; didn't rush us & dutifully told us about some of the history; steeped in Revolutionary War history; staff very friendly & accommodating; convenient gift shop for post cards, etc. Loved it!!!

Clam chowda is the best. Also had the calamari and it was so tender and perfectly fried.

We travelled from Georgia, had to try. I prefer gulf seafood, but still enjoyed it. Our waitress Mary Ryan was the best. Even gave us a guided tour. We’ll be back this summer, hopefully.

The bar manager, Mr. Jim Sullivan, was one of the nicest human beings my girlfriend and I have ever met on our many travels together over the last year. After our meal, he continued to give us a historical tour of the inside of the restaurant, and asked where we were heading next. We did not really have a plan, but he recommended all the best bars to visit, and other landmarks of historical and cultural significance that abounded within a mile of the Union Oyster House. We could not have asked for a nicer experience, and we ... read more

We have been to the OH on more than one occasion. Every time we have gone we have had delicious food and wonderful, friendly, fast service. That combined with the rich and Long history of the establishment makes eating here an experience everyone should have!
