We had a stag do this weekend using UK paintball in Sheffield; it was a mixed bag. We were told we HAD to be there at 9 o’clock. Upon arrival, the chaps in charge were not in any rush to get going. We were ready in 5 minutes, we didn’t leave the arrival area / ‘reception’ until 10:30 (all that we had to do in that 90 minutes was sign a waiver, get the overalls on and have the safety briefing). Really lovely team - they make safety their highest priority throughout the experience starting from when you walk in the door, while on the field and before you leave site. But on the other hand, being the only girl in a group of about 30, I somehow became everyone's favourite target! After two games and an impressive amount of paintball bruises I discovered that paint balls do in fact hurt a lot more than I was told, so I gracefully decided to retire from combat duty. Shady and unnecessary data collection and communication tactics. To find out about availability online you have to provide your number and email (despite the fact that the website gives you the availability straight away, meaning there is no need for personal details). If you dont proceed to book, they will proceed to send both unsolicited calls and emails to ask you why.
