RecommendedThe doctors, their nurses, staff go out of their way to help and guide you through your upcoming surgery. This will be our fourth surgery at UAB Highland. Great nurses and staff could not ask for amy better. I feel they have gone the extra mile and fought a hard battle with our insurance. Thank you

Because while I was in ICU I was not treated well and I came home with bedsores.
My husband had an aneurysm in his stomach that was leaking so they rushed him from Mississippi to here. The vascular team were AWESOME! Dr. Pearce and his staff were outstanding. They genuinely cared about my husband's overall health. They got the kidney people involved which we are grateful for. Our nurses in SICU were Rock stars! They kept us informed ,had great biedside manners, very compassionate and professional. I was literally on deaths door step they said I had a couple hours if I was lucky and they brought me back Thank you for saving me. God bless all of you.
Great staff, nice facilities, parking is a joke and really expensive....patients should not have to pay parking
I do not recommend their Freestanding ER in Gardendale. I went tonight and all the doctor did was throw a muscle relaxer at me and did a urinalysis and sent me on my way. Did not do any blood work, ct scan....etc. I was told that she just couldn’t possibly think of anything else it would be. I expressed my complaint to the nurse who discharged me. I ended up having to go to another ER and found out that I have a kidney stone. I recommend going somewhere else.
UAB Highlands is the BEST! The nursing staff the attention to detail and the kindness was so appreciated. Thank you nurses and techs on 5th floor and Nurse Beverly in same day surgery your the best! I can’t speak highly enough of all the staff and a Special Thank You to Dr Ellington your AWESOME!
