RecommendedOur insurance company UNITED HEALTHCARE & UAB can not seem to come to terms about continuing to accept our ins after July 31, 2019....We can not change to BCBS til January 2020....UAB is the only place that offers drs to treat the rare cancer my husband has. ALSO UAB has the only drs that can treat my sons stomach condition....
if you dont mind doing the whitaker clinics job for them. Nurses and Drs dont return calls. have a procedure scheduled but strongly considering canceling. zero communication skills. highly disappointed in the urology dept. I thought dch in Tuscaloosa was bad but I believe this bunch wins that prize.
The nurses and doctor on labor and delivery floor was awesome especially Tori the RN that was caring for L and D 8 thank you thank you if you see her give her another hug from me baby and mom was on 07/11/19 . Tooson /McCaa family is happy with the care and concern on yesterday 🤗🤗🤗🙏🙏🙏 the whole staff was awesome
Er was terrible .I stayed from 11:00am . til 4:00 am . Almost 24 hours. The Er facility was filthy in places ,where I was sitting were nats.It was entirely to cold there both temperature and hospitality. I had to be pricked so many times to get a vein.I waited all those hours to be seen in a crash room where 2 other sick patients are in the room that I do not know. The doctor ask me all my business in front of them .They could see and hear me telling him everything. HIPAA where?
I've been going here for a long time and they usually do my stuff right but I showne up for 9:00 appointment and still haven't been called by and it 9:08!!! like ffs the desk people need to have better communication with the nurse in the back ffs :/
great staff, great bed side Manor, friendly, and most of all you feel important. like your life matters to them, not how much money they are making.
My husbands mother had a severe stroke and had fallen. She was admitted to UAB hospital on Monday May 27th. After finding out that she most likely would not recover from her injures. She was moved to the Pallative Care Unit. The staff there made sure she was comfortable and clean. They were absolutely amazing with her and our family. I never wish this on anyone but if a family member is ever in this way and has to go there, just know that’s where I would want my family member.
