RecommendedI was treated at UAB Highlands and UAB Radiology and I would personally like to thank everyone involved in my treatment. Everyone was so friendly and compassionate. They were professional and went above and beyond to explain any question I had. I dealt more with UAB Radiology this trip and felt so much caring from everyone. Contracted or not, i will be judging all of the administration there! Also your abuse of power and the veil you have pulled over this citys eyes without them even know it!
I have been a UAB patient since 2010, I had my liver and kidney transplants there and credit them with saving my life ....I had several complications after my transplants and they were right on them ...I was checked on constantly (labs and by one of the residents) ....LOVE , LOVE , LOVE everyone that I have ever come into contact with at UAB....The doctors and nurses are great .....
I was transferred from another hospital to UAB because of the specialists. The 2 doctors that I saw, listened to me when I explained my medical condition besides my injury. They were very gentle when looking at my injury. Dr Boyd, the plastic surgeon on duty, explained everything he was going to do before doing it. very sympathetic when it was hurting. The nurse and tech was also very kind and understanding.
Really smart and humane doctors, well organized patient experience, which is surely a huge challenge given the size and complexity of the hospitals and clinics.
If you don't have a need for HIPPA, then this place might be for you, heard someone else complain on here also. I'm sure not all the staff is that way but they need to weed out those who dont take pride in their job, so sad and embarrassing, especially when the patient is terminal.
I when to UAB Highland because my pressure was high stayed to the ER and it was pleasant. They shipped me to the West Pavilion and I am sharing a room with someone the worst experience ever.
I was airlifted to UAB post MVA towards the end of January as a trauma 1/trauma 2 patient, over the next 2.5 weeks I was in ICU and step down floor in the trauma center, though I do not remember the wreck or my hospital stay because of my numerous life threatening injuries per my family and friends all of the staff was great and literally life saving. Had I been sent anywhere else I do not think the outcome would of been in my favor. As 6 months is approaching from the date of the wreck I am forever grateful to all the staff... read more
