First, I did a lot of research on the Desarda proceedure, All clinical trials I examined place the Desarda hernia repair above the Mesh and Shouldice techniqe in all areas. The Desarda lasts longer than all of them. To my knowledge, there are only two surgeons who perform the Desarda in the US and Dr T. at UFirst is the only one affirmed by Dr Desarda. I was very pleased with Dr. T. and the entire staff from beginning to end. The repair of my inguinal hernia went just as was explained to me which helped to alleviate the concerns that I had. I've recommended Dr. T. to a friend of my with the same diagnosis and expect that he will be just as pleased as I am.

All went well as can be expected with no complications, 10 days post-surgery. Pain is subsiding and I am gaining some strength. Bowel and bladder function is normal. Some ongoing pain and stiffness in my right rib cage and low back prior to hernia surgery is now gone. For several months I had intense pain on and off in my lower right abdomen area. Because of the on-going Covid fiasco I refuse to go to a hospital for any reason. Finally one night I typed my symptoms into my search engine and found out I had an inguinal hernia. Then I typed in "inguinal hernia no mesh." Dr. T. website came up. The rest is history. This was the 2nd time around for me. Umbilical hernia surgery in 2018. Inguinal hernia surgery in 2022. Dr. T did both. I won't bore you with the details. All I will say is he and his staff are the BEST! Kind, courtesy, caring, and very professional. If you're looking for hernia repair, look no further than Dr. T. You won't be sorry.

Ok, this will sound like a paid ad, but I assure you that I'm a patient still in the waiting room after my post op visit, just waiting for my ride home. After realizing that I had a hernia, I knew that I needed to address it, but I have recently developed a mistrust of the medical community, and we've all seen so many of the class action lawsuits about surgical mesh, right? Dr. T. and his staff at U First Health provided excellent communication / preparation, excellent surgical care, and results which exceeded my expectations!!! In April 2021 I first noticed an apricot sized lump on my right lower groin. I neglected it until October 2021, by then it had grown to the size and shape of a pear. I had the privilege of being treated by Dr. T. and his staff on January 17and 18 of this year, All the employees at the office especially BJ, Terry, and Esteban were exceedingly gracious to us. I had to return to see Dr. T. 10 days after the surgery for a check-up. He mentioned that everything was looking fine and that it would hurt for a while but thank God I have a lot less pain than expected and I can move around very well.
