I've had two inguinal hernias repaired by Dr. T. at UFirstHealth: first in Sept. 2019, then in July 2021. My wife accompanied me to Ft. Myers for the first one, but knowing the ropes, I was solo for the second, but engaged the clinic's excellent post-op nursing services. After over years (4) of ignoring my inguinal hernia and having literally given up on finding a suitable, non-mesh surgical center. I had accepted that it would probably be the death of me until sister found U First Heath/Desarda Hernia Center. The U First Health center is a very professional organization top to bottom. From the first call with Nancy N., to my post op meeting with Dr. T., everything was handled well in their system. I had three meetings with Dr. T. and I had confidence in his ability to repair my Inguinal Hernia. He performs 15 hernia repairs a week, so it is not his first rodeo. Dr T. and the fantastic staff at U First Heath/Desarda Hernia Center are a blessing. From initial consult all the way through the post op check up the entire process is seamless and uneventful. Everyone is responsive to any questions no matter how minor you may think the questions are, they are very comforting and great to chat with. I am very pleased with my ventral hernia surgery with U first health. My recovery was faster than expected and I just feel like I was in very good hands (literally) with Dr. T! The staff was also very accommodating!

I'm so glad I came here for my umbilical hernia repair. The staff here is amazing. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and kind. I felt welcomed from the first phone call with BJ to after my procedure. Dr T. took his time to make sure all my questions were answered and he has great bed side manners. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get treatment here. I have had a mesh inguinal hernia repair 18 years ago on my right side. Never cared for the feeling of the foreign material. Also it has been causing intermittent problems! Now that I needed the left side repaired, I decided to go a different route leading me to Dr. T. and his no mesh Desarda tension free repair using your own muscle and repairing the hernia vs. patching the hernia!
