We held our wedding reception at Ty Afon - River House, staying for three nights. The team were so welcoming and the service was outstanding. The location is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views along the valley, and the river and village of Beddgelert just a short walk from the hotel. We were really happy we chose this hotel and location for our wedding. Dit is een knus kleinschalig hotel in Snowdonia. Ons verblijf was zalig. De kamer was ruim, de bedden waren goed en de atmosfeer van het hotel ademde authenticiteit. Het personeel was meer dan vriendelijk en heeft ons verblijf nog prettiger gemaakt. Het restaurant serveert smakelijk eten (wij hadden de pasta met zalm en een vegetarische pie). My husband stumbled upon Ty Afon when choosing a hotel to stay in the weekend he was planning on proposing to me. Having met in North Wales at university, it only felt right to get engaged (and married) in the same area we used to hike when students. After visiting one or two other prospective wedding venues we called Ty Afon to ask whether they host weddings, as we had such a special time at the hotel for our engagement weekend. Tŷ Afon - River House is a lovely building in a setting that can’t be beat. Everywhere you look there are stunning views, the gorge walk starts right our front, the village is a very short walk away, and every room has a view. Rooms are small but tidy and well set out, the bed is comfy, the bathroom clean and every room has a kettle though we were disappointed there was no refrigerator. Where it falls short is the service.
