WONDERFUL... – I went in with a fuzzy head of curly hair and let Theresa go at it. This is, by far..the BEST haircut I have EVER had!! This new method of cutting curly hair is wonderful and Theresa knows just what to do for your hair..after looking at it and asking YOU what you would like. It will be much easier for me to get there after the road construction is done, but the extra travel time is definitely worth it. I also had my eyebrows waxed by Summer and they are wonderful. suspicious reviews – i wrote a bad review for this salon a couple years ago, and just happened across its page again today and i have to say, these reviews are suspicious. every time there's a less perfect review, there are 2-4 reviews within days that knock the bad review off the top of the first page, and then there are months to a year between reviews. very strange... i haven't gone back since my terrible and overpriced experienced and i never will.
East 42nd Street Salon – Sweet place with sweet people. What I remember most is how fantastic Carolyn, not sure on spelling; is. What amazing talent cutting, styling my hair! She made my hair do things that I didn't even know it could. What talent. You should be on one of those hair genius TV shows, showing off your talent. I am not an expert but she took the time and showed me how to do it my self at home too. Great gal, Carolyn!!!!
Best hair cut I've ever had! – I visited the 42nd Street Salon after reading reviews from other users on this site. I had been straightening my hair for 35 years ( I'm 50 years old ) and had come to the end of my rope as far as trying to pretend I had staight hair. Theresa is the best for curly hair - hands down – Theresa was able to understand exactly what I had in mind for my little son's (curly, shaggy, preschool) hair style and gave him his best haircut yet. We're so happy to have found her - she's a real professional and very talented at what she does. I was so impressed that I went in a week later for a haircut of my own. Best Haircut for Curly Hair in Mpls – I just went back to E 42nd Street Salon for a second hair cut. My hair is curly and it has been difficult to find a stylist who really knows how to cut my hair. The first time I went in, Carolyn cut my hair and showed me how to care for it. She cut it dry, which was a first for me. But I loved it. The second time I went in, Teresa cut my hair. Stylist for curly hair – The salon is nice and my hair looks good, but the stylist (Carolyn) doesn't really listen to my requests. I've been to her a few times and it's as though she is going to do what she wants to do regardless of what I say because she knows better. I went in for a trim and when I commented on how short it was she said no it's not. If you don't have a haircut in mind when you go in and have an extra hour and 45 mins to spend she's a good stylist.
correction of previous review – Upon further investigation, I asked around and have heard nothing but good things about this salon, though i haven't been there myself.

Curly Girls take note – I have curly hair. Until I read the book CURLY GIRL, I tried to pretend I didn't. I've been using Massey's techniques as best I can for the past two years or so with decent results. What was missing was a stylist who understood them.
