Fantastic experience – I have been a regular of East 42nd Street for a few months now, and I felt compelled to write a review after seeing the poor one recently posted. I have had nothing but great experiences at the salon. I have been seeing the same stylist (Gail) and have had interactions with all the other stylists and they are all very friendly and professional. Skills! – I just had my second cut with Cheri...she's fantastic. I don't think I've had a stylist pay as much attention to detail as she does. She truly takes her time and you can tell all of her focus is on you. I also am loving their new location...it's a really relaxing environment. Best salon experience I've ever had. :)
Curly girl. – East 42nd street is the best salon I've ever been to. Not only is the new location beautiful, the employees are friendly and make you feel at home. I have curly hair and it's tough to find a stylist that can work well with it. Carolyn is a master. She gave me many tips to help me style my own hair better. I will definately be back!
best haircut ever – Gail is awesome and knows what she is doing. She has great recomendations for haircolor and cuts. I've never had someone know how to analyze my hair based on the shape of my face. I have had more compliments on my hair than I ever have.
waxing expert – I saw Jamie for a back wax and she was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. I went on my lunch break and she was able to get me in and out quickly.
Kris Rocks! – I am new Minneapolis, visited the salon, got a fantastic cut, color, and highlights from Kris. She rocks! My hair looks great, and I left with a stomach ache from laughing so hard. Go see Kris, she is a true artist without the "attitude".

the best – Theresa was wonderful. I am 35 years old and I can safely say that this was the ONLY haircut that I LOVED. Thank you.
Teresa's ChitChat Salon – Anyone who's ever read "Patty Jane's House of Curl" (and what 30-40something woman hasn't?) already has a good picture of what E. 42nd St. Salon is like. I've had more fun there than in most of the bars in town. Teresa has the patience of a saint, both with cutting and coloring my hair to my annoyingly exacting standards, or allowing me to have 8 gal pals in for a birthday party complete with full refreshments AND applying fake hair all around.
