Best Experienc Ever – I went in to get a brow wax and tint from Desiree and couldn't believe how great they turned out. She really has an eye for color and shape. On the same day I got a haircut from Cheri. Cheri is the most artistic, creative , and personable stylist I have ever had. The cut was aaawsome!! I plan on getting my lashes permed next. I can't wait to try all the services.

I went to this salon for the first time a little over a year ago. I was very reluctant because my hair is very difficult to cut. In fact, the only other stylist that did a great job was back in 1973, I was 11 years old and it was in NYC by Vidal Sasoon himself. Everyone after that claimed they knew what they were doing, but didn't. Oh my good. I just read that review about this place being a curly hair fraud. I thought I was the only one. I got butchered. It took a year and a half to grow out. The (this is too kind) stylist cut in the middle of a curl so my hair stuck out every which way and I couldn't find anything to fix it. I tried products, new cuts, even a wig!!!!! East 42 street salon is a butcher shop that hacks off your hair without knowing what they are doing. My advise is to stay very, very far away if you have curly hair. I gave this a one s... read more

Curly hair fraud – I had chin length pretty cute curly hair when I walked in . Teresa cut my hair. She is not very personable but most importantly the only reason she has a curly hair salon is that she heard there is a great market for it. She doesn't have curly hair, doesn't understand it and can't cut it. she too, some class and just spouts off on what she learned. I asked for a trim and she cut off about 5 inches. Great cut and color – I wanted a new look, and was hesitant to get a cut, because the last cut I had was soooooo horrible. I stumbled upon East 42nd Street Salon after googling curly hair salons in Minneapolis, and decided to book an appointment. The stylist I had was Teresa. Mixed review... – I've been looking for a new curly hair stylist for awhile now for my naturally curly hair since Accolades salon kept screwing up my appointments, and I heard that East 42nd had a lot of stylists with curly hair experience. Wow!!! Made a bad cut from another salon a knockout! – I called the salon on Monday after a VERY unbecoming cut on Saturday. I have curly hair, but had been with the other stylist for about a year and the cuts were OK. Last Saturday, I showed her a photo of what I wanted and cringed as she took thinning shears to my hair. Sam is Super Sassy!!! – Sam is the best stylist I have ever had! I completely trust her. My sister has extremely curly hair and Sam recommended the Salon before she even worked there. My sister had her hair done and I can honestly say it was the best money my sister EVER spent. She gets complements on her hair EVERYDAY!
