I canceled my trip on March 21st, I was booked to go to Williamsburg on April 16-17. It has now been 58 days since I canceled, and still no refund. I’ve emailed several times, and the last time I was told my refund request was marked “urgent”. I feel like I was scammed out of $500 and it ticks me off to no end that Tripster.com is still operating and taking bookings. Consumers beware, the refund policy is a lie.

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your concerns. The processing time the past two months has been abnormally long due to the various companies either being closed or having lower staff. Many of which, themselves, are delaying refunds back to Tripster. We worked as efficiently as we were able considering the circumstances. That said, you have been refunded in full, per our records on 5/22. Thank you.

Still waiting on my refund after canceling March 30th after calling (& getting no answer) then emailing multiple times and getting the same response each time. This has gotten ridiculous. I understand being short staffed and unprepared for these uncertain times, but why would it take this long for an electronic transaction?

Business response:

Thank for sharing your concerns. We are indeed managing our customers with a smaller staff currently. And, for quite some time had stay at home orders. That said, the issue with the slower refund time was more due to the fact that Disney themselves were taking 4-6 weeks to issue refunds back to us. We share your frustrations. We did issue your refund, however, on May 15th. Please advise if you have not received. Thanks.

I bought refundable tickets through Tripster for Disney World for $2168, refundable through 5/4/2020. Cancelled on 3/27, well in advance of the cancellation date. STILL waiting for my refund and getting the runaround. It's unacceptable. How can I have faith to use them or recommend them in the future if they can't stick to their own policy of refundable tickets? It's not a way to run a business for customers. I didn't give them a loan.

I ordered tickets through tripster over 2 months ago. The ordering process was difficult. After all that I went through to get the tickets I ended up having to cancel my trip due to COVID19. I cancelled with the understanding that I would be refunded everything that I had paid. I also was aware that they were becoming extremely busy due to everyone canceling plans. So, I gave them several extra weeks to refund my money. It has now been WELL OVER 2 MONTHS since my cancellation and I have NOT been refunded (OVER $200) my money... read more

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We do apologize for the time it took to resolve all the monies related to your booking. I do show, however, that we issued a full refund on 5/12. Please advise if you have not received it.

I purchased tickets too Silver dollar City, the showboat and a hotel stay for my sister, our mom and myself back in March. We were going the 1st week of April, we've been planning on taking our mom somewhere since we lost our dad to cancer in 2018, then my sister is diagnosed with Colon cancer and her chemo was over in March, we were so excited to finally get to go then the coronavirus hits, so we had to cancel and now we can't get our 600 dollars back , nor a response from tripster except for a email telling me I would be r... read more

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We do offer 100% free cancellation and while COVID did slow down that process considerably, our records now show that you have been refunded in full, as promised. Thank you for your patience.

We cancelled our mid June trip in late March due to Corona Virus. It is now May 12th and we are still waiting for our $700+ refund. Why it takes so long to get an electronic refund onto a debit card at the touch of a button from Tripster is quite a scam. Use this company at your own risk, (It cost us $700 that we feel scammed out of).

Business response:

Greetings, and thank you for your comment. The circumstances related to COVID, has delayed many of our refunds as we have had to reduce staff and work with our travel products, who have also been slow due to reduced staff, to procure refunds. Your refund in particular did take place on 5/12/20. Once it leaves our hands, the issuing bank could take a few days to have it appear on your account, especially a debit card. Thank you for using Tripster, and apologies for the delayed refund timing.

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your experience. According to our records, you were refunded $256.84 on May 1st. We do apologize for the time involved. Due to COVID-19, the process did indeed take longer than necessary as a result of many complications. Thank you for being understanding.

Our show was cancelled due to Covid-19. Tripster stated via email it would be refunded in 5-30 business days. Just like every other complaint in here. It is now almost 60 days and I'm still getting a run around with them. The phone goes to voice mail where they say their customer service is open from 7am - 7pm and leave a message. I left 5 messages and still haven't received a call back. I see on this sight they give the same automated response to everyone. I hope the BBB is looking into this.

Business response:

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We have been working on 1,000s of cancellations and refunds with a limited staff and stay at home orders. We do apologize for the delays. We show that you did receive a refund on 5/14. Please advise if you do not reflect the same. Thank you for your patience.
