I went to see Tom 6 months ago for a bio mechanical analysis of my running to understand why lower leg injuries kept reoccurring – especially ITB issues. I was sceptical it would throw up anything I didn’t already know as I was sure my run form was largely dictated by an arthritic big toe joint. Surprisingly, before looking at my running, Tom looked at my fat toe, told me to put my feet in different trainers(Altra Footwear) designed for feet(unlike the majority of brands) that would let my toes spread naturally. I first heard of Tom on a podcast and much of what he said resonated so I made an appointment to see him. As a chronic ITB syndrome sufferer I've seen a number of physio's over the years and none have ever really addressed the issue fully. Tom's approach was refreshingly different and very effective, the exercises he 'prescribed' and equipment recommendations have resulted in a significant improvement in the condition. I'm now feeling a lot more optimistic about the upcoming season as a result. Throughly recommended.

Tom at Trimechanics has completely overhauled the way I run - having been frustrated with ITB/Knee pain for years & trying every brand of 'bouncy castle' shoe I could find on the market! A new approach was required to treat the cause NOT the symptoms. After video analysis down at the Trimechanics studio, Tom put me on a program of conditioning, strengthening and drill work to sort out my bio-mechanical imbalances. In conjunction with this, over a period of 18months I graduated to minimalist running shoes (barefoot style) and... read more
