Once again a very enjoyable week spent in beautiful Tranquil Sands holiday house which is set in a very peaceful part of North Uist, completely safe for dogs to roam freely in the fenced garden and the house has everything you can wish for, literally “ home from home” holiday. There is a gorgeous beach just a ten minute walk over the Machair. Great places to eat out are Langass Lodge, the Westford Inn and the Politician in Eriskay is well worth a visit, enjoy a lovely meal there after walking the beach nearby. What’s not to ... read more
Absolutely stunning holiday home. We stayed for a few days and loved it. It's very quiet with beautiful views. The kitchen is well equipped and they've thought of everything you may need. Could have happily stayed much longer.
Having stayed at Tranquil Sands Holiday Home on two occasions…accommodation, location, equipment and ease of use are all excellent. Having a corncrake visit the garden was a delight. Short eared owl sightings were also pretty special. Highly recommended property.
A wonderful week at Tranquil Sands May 2024 Our first visit to the Outer Hebrides. After a week on the Isle of Lewis we moved south to Tranquil Sands. We had reviewed the property on the web site and we were not disappointed. A great centre to explore the islands and as we were there to play some golf as well, access to Benbecula Askernish and Barra was very Easy. A beautifully furnished and immaculate holiday home in a superb location overlooking the Machair. We have now visited 10 times to recharge our batteries and relax since 2012.
