The shepherds bothy was stunning, would love to come back
We had 3 nights in Bakers Bothy, it was perfect. The bothy has everything you need, wonderful views, and super cosy. The family have opened up the castle grounds to provide stunning walls, taking in the incredible old trees and views. You can stroll down to the beach, take in a coffee and snack in the cafe or do a gin tasting, the castle and estate offers all you need. It’s hard to put into words just how much we loved our stay at Torrisdale. From the moment we arrived we felt completely at home and absolutely everything we needed was available for us. Emma went above and beyond to make sure we had a perfect stay, including being a witness at our tiny wedding on the estate beach! The setting is just perfect and we loved spotting seals on the beach and sampling the excellent gins made on site at Kintyre Distillery. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay and can’t wait to return.
The cafe is absolutely brilliant. Had a lovely lunch and cappuccino. All fresh and homemade. Just a bunch of lovely people and Crumble (their dog), of course!
Fantastic location, accommodation, food, hosts and peace and quiet, loved all of it.
