I went in for a front end alignment 2 months ago and the car still doesn't drive straight. My daughter in law went in for new tires and brakes 2 days ago and they called with more things wrong but didn't tell her any estimate. She is 18 with no automotive experience so she didn't realize that they might try to screw her over and take advantage of her like that. When she went back to get her car she was billed about 3,500. I had an extraordinarily wonderful experience with Firestone Tires in Kingsport I was in Kingsport for an appointment with my 10 year old son and we have been having a very difficult time financially. The day in question I had exactly $15.01 on me. I also had a flat rear tire on my driver's side. I could make it to either Firestone Tires to see how much a plug was or to ********* to see if they had an air pump. I chose correctly and went to Firestone Tires. Horrendous, unethical service 0 stars Don't ever go here. You will have to pay multiple times and your vehicle will not be fixed to standard
This is my 5th attempt to post a review to BBB; it keeps disappearing & this is my last try. This is for the Firestone Auto center in BRIDGEVILLE, PA only. They are professional, efficient and friendly. Skilled technicians and well trained managers. Competitive prices. I've been taking my vehicles there for years, even when they change employees.
I"m sorry to say, I would not recommend them. I had high expectations, but after telling me they were done troubleshooting my vehicle issue, they said they were sorry, but they couldn't locate the part they needed. They said all the part stores they used didn't have the part in stock so they were going to try local pick and pull's as my vehicle is older. BEWARE! I went to Michel Tires Plus in Louisville KY for a slow leak. They said the tire was not repairable due to the location of the leak. They recommended 4 new tires ($990) because I drive a Subaru with all wheel drive. I went to a competitor for a second opinion, they repaired the leak for less than $30. I had only 6100 miles on my new Subaru.
We brought our truck into Firestone on February 17 since the four wheel drive wasn't working. It took over a week to get the part. The service tech claimed the part was installed on March 1 and that the four wheel drive is indeed functioning properly. The four wheel drive is still not working. We were forced to drive it in snowy conditions - which was not safe; all as a result of the poor service we have received from Firestone. My wife took my son's car here today (1998 Camry) because the front brakes were squeaking and grabbing. They then called with an estimate of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS (!!), stating that the entire front brake system including the brake lines needed to be replaced. Thank GOD I was at home when they called....I said NO WAY, went and picked up the car, told them they were trying to rip us off, then got the brakes fixed across town at another shop for....$276.00!!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would but unfortunately that is not an option and I'm aware that this is really long so, I apologize in advance for that. I brought my car into Firestone on February 17th to have 2 tires replaced as well as an oil change. They replaced the tires and forgot the oil change but I was not all that bothered at this point, I understand miscommunication can occur.
