RecommendedThe rooms are large enough to hold up to 8 and include a kitchenette and living room. It was very relaxing. The sleigh ride to the dinner was fun and we really enjoyed our attendant Stew. He made us laugh with all his stories. Dinner was delicious!
Just spent the most relaxing 2 days at Thunder Bay Resort. Charming lodging, great food, wonderful wait staff, and the sleigh ride/dinner/wine tasting event was definitely 5 star! We’ll be coming back in the next 3 seasons to check out what it looks like!
What a wonderful trip! The elk are lovely, the dinner is delicious, and the staff is incredible! If you get a chance, I definitely recommend coming here.
We absolutely enjoyed our experience at this weekend’s Murder Mystery. The cast, the competitors, the horse-drawn carriage tour with Jack and Scott, and ending with dinner were nothing short of exceptional. Thank you Thunder Bay Resort!!!
Had a real nice afternoon today (12-30-18). Meal was great and the staff are all wonderful. Thanks to Jack and your staff that are very entertaining for helping put a fine memory on the books for 2018. Happy New Year.
We did the elk viewing ride and had the gourmet meal with wine tasting. A beautiful experience with very friendly and fun staff. Beautiful scenery, beautiful animals, and the dinner was fantastic. I appreciate so much how they made vegetarian food for me for every course, and I believe I was the only vegetarian that was there. My family said their food was fantastic as well. Thank you! I didn't know what to expect when my daughter took me here for our annual road trip. However, I was not disappointed. The carriage ride through the elk preserve was a wonderful experience and the wild elk were absolutely amazing. The staff was knowledgeable and went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The Gourmet dinner at the beautiful cabin in the woods was excellent as was our breakfast, and our room at the resort was spacious, comfortable, and very accommodating. Everyone needs to experience this gem in Northern Michigan. Plan an overnight stay and partake in all they have to offer. The dinner was excellent and the ambience perfect for a holiday getaway . The experience far exceeded our expectations (which were already quite high). Loved the carriage ride and elk viewing!
