RecommendedGreat camp site, only about 20 sites with patios, full hookups, WiFi and cable. Nice place to spend a few days while traveling or maybe a weekend. One of our favorite camp sites during this 4 months across country.
We JUST LOVE IT in Hilman, and we don't golf but it's an awesome place to stay, with a great view too!!!
If we were golfers, this would have been a great resort. It boasted of having trails, which we have yet to find, except for those on the golf course. The rooms are clean and spacious and the food at the pub was very good. I’d recommend going to the Ocqueoc Falls, it was great swimming in the falls, this was a beautiful area. We rode on the horse drawn wagon, which take you out to see the elk...bring mosquito repellent! The ride was nice, we saw a few elk in the distance. This place is great! Friendly staff, Good food, decent golf course (great carts, gps, ball washers, and a cooler on the carts). Paid $25.00 for 18 holes with a cart on July 3rd. There is no better deal in northeast Michigan!
We loved our stay at Thunder Bay! Delicious gourmet meals, wine tasting, horse-drawn carriage rides to view the elk and cozy rooms in a cabin-like atmosphere!
Loved it. The Elk Experience was great and the dinner too. The guides were very knowledgeable.
What a amazing time! My husband surprised me with a weekend and it was magical. We had a suite with a jaucci tub, a spacious living area and very clean. There was a electric fireplace which was on when we arrived. The elk site seeing was awesome, saw several, the guides were very knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout the trip. Just finished the murder mystery weekend incredible cast, staff and even the owner Jack. Hospitality was wonderful!! We will be back and recommend everyone!
Relaxing, educational and the staff are awesome! I enjoyed the elk viewing/ gourmet dinner. I'm staying the night next time.�
