I tried this process twice with other loan companies before Loan Depot and things just did not work out and they did not go as smoothly either. The Loan Depot online process was super easy and effective and it worked awesome for me. I kept worrying that I needed to turn more stuff in, but no the process was stream lined and efficient. 4.9 stars: Mine was a VA Interest Rate Reduction ReFinance (an 'IRRRL' which is a really simple form of ReFi , from a 4 year old VA mortgage to a lower rate/lower payment VA mortgage, with no appraisal, no tax returns, etc. -- just a lower rate with lower payments that will break even in 35 months).Except for one person that could have been more responsive/ clearer communication, the process was pretty smooth-- I got a good rate, and it closed in 25 days on the date I requested at the start.There would have been more stars b... read more
