Bait and Switch - Don't use this company. Two days prior to closing they called to tell me they couldnt fund the loan which was already previously approved unless I come up with an additional $70k and provide a 30% downpayment. They also changed the loan rate but since they made these requests and changes two days prior to closing I had the choice of losing my $60k escrow deposit or go ahead with this extortion and close. We initially had PMI on our mortgage due to it being a second home and we did not put at least 20% down on it. Since we settled, home values have gone up substantially and the "old" company agreed that the current value gave us more than the necessary 20% equity to eliminate the **** but said that they had to use the original purchase price.
