I wish I could give negative 100 stars. HORRIBLE. Do not do HELOC with loanDepot. Had the WORST experience that was emotionally physically and mentally taxing. I had the worst experience I have ever gotten in my entire life from a company this large. I was quoted a lower interest rate first time around (I think they do this to lure you in) they even sent me emails with the rates. Don't believe these troll reviews! This is a shady company with very questionable business practices. For one, they continue to call you even after you tell them you're not interested. Stalkers! Then, they sell off your information to other stalkers just hoping to get a cut. Refinanced through loandepot a year ago. Loan depot found a lein for 8k on my mortgage so this was paid through the refinance. That was fine. A year later we get a letter from HUD & the exact words were " This may come as a surprise to you but when you refinanced through loandepot they missed a lein for $64k. You have 30 days to pay. " How is it that they caught the 8k lein but not the $64k lein. ( it was from a previous forbearance 8 years earlier ) If they " found" the $64k at the time of refinancing it would not have gone... read more
