This company originated a loan when just making an inquiry. They sent me documents to sign for cash out home equity loan. I am so angry that these companies can use this tactic to prey on unsuspecting customers. The customer service though helpful tried to defend the loan originators actions.

They do not respond! Numerous calls, text, and still no response. They have taken over $500 from ** and will not call you back. They say ************* is important to them and this is FALSE! They do not CARE! **************** is bad. They start with *********************** to sell you on working with them. He gets your information, then they reach out to your employer and *********************** sends a letter to employer telling them you will not be approved for a loan. I wish I could give negative 100 stars. HORRIBLE. Do not do HELOC with loanDepot. Had the WORST experience that was emotionally physically and mentally taxing. I had the worst experience I have ever gotten in my entire life from a company this large. I was quoted a lower interest rate first time around (I think they do this to lure you in) they even sent me emails with the rates. Don't believe these troll reviews! This is a shady company with very questionable business practices. For one, they continue to call you even after you tell them you're not interested. Stalkers! Then, they sell off your information to other stalkers just hoping to get a cut. Refinanced through loandepot a year ago. Loan depot found a lein for 8k on my mortgage so this was paid through the refinance. That was fine. A year later we get a letter from HUD & the exact words were " This may come as a surprise to you but when you refinanced through loandepot they missed a lein for $64k. You have 30 days to pay. " How is it that they caught the 8k lein but not the $64k lein. ( it was from a previous forbearance 8 years earlier ) If they " found" the $64k at the time of refinancing it would not have gone... read more
